Jake Paul explains conditions Anderson Silva must meet to fight YouTube star
Paul is toying with the idea of fighting Silva after outpointing fellow MMA veteran Tyron Woodley in Cleveland last month.
The 24-year-old agreed to rematch Woodley after the fight, but with that now seemingly off the table he is actively pursuing his other opponents.
UFC fan favourite Nate Diaz, Vitor Belfort, 'BMF' champion Jorge Masvidal and Tommy Fury are among potential opponents.
Silva, meanwhile, picked up this third boxing win when he knocked out Tito Ortiz on the undercard of Evander Holyfield vs Vitor Belfort.
But Paul explained he would need certain conditions put in place before agreeing to fight the Brazilian.
"I think it would be a huge fight so sure, he's a legend of the sport, great head movement, great striking. For me I would love it, I have nothing but respect for Anderson," he told The MMA Hour.
"I watched him growing up and was a fan of his. So it would be cool to get in there and see what would happen.
"However, there is the side of it that's like. He's 46 or 47 years old, so I would want him to go through lots of testing to make sure that's he's actually good to get into the ring.
"I wouldn't want some s*** that just happened with like Vitor and Holyfield. He's like 22 or 23 years older than me. So he's out there looking good against these older guys, you know Tito Ortiz and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr."
Paul has become one of the most talked-about names in combat sports in the past year and extended his unbeaten run to four fights when he defeated Woodley.
'The Problem Child' previously earned victories against YouTuber AnEsonGib, former NBA player Nate Robinson and now-retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren.

But Paul is now targeting fights against younger opponents, which is why he's dubious about fighting Silva.
He continued: "I'm sorry but I'm built different, it would be a lot of punishment for him and I wouldn't wanna take out the old guy. There's a thing about Jake Paul fighting old guys and retired guys like Ben Askren and Tyron.
"If I were to fight Anderson Silva everyone would just be like 'oh just another old guy' after I beat him.
"So it's kind of a lose-lose situation, but it could be interesting if he undergoes testing and we could figure something out. I think our teams are talking a bit, but we'll see."
Silva was linked to a fight with Logan Paul - the brother of Jake - last month but talks came to nothing.
