Jake Paul defeated former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley by split decision on Sunday night during their Showtime pay-per-view boxing matchup. Both fighters cleared a reported $2 million for the fight, according to MMAJunkie, which took place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Paul’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

The fight was Paul’s biggest test in the boxing ring. The 24-year-old entered the ring on Sunday with a record of 3-0. Paul won each of those scraps by knockout before the end of the third round. Despite a near knockdown and some issues with his gas tank, Paul pulled out the win over the 39-year-old Woodley via split decision. One judge gave the fight to Woodley by a score of 77-75. The judges who favored Paul scored the fight 77-75 and 79-74 in his favor.

In a bit of a surprise, Paul tweeted on Monday that he had retired from the boxing game.

Meanwhile, Woodley is angling for a rematch with Paul. During his post-fight interview, the former UFC champ was adamant that he had won the bout.
