Jake Paul defends controversial Dee Devlin comments after offering Conor McGregor €41million to fight

Jake Paul has claimed his recent comments on Dee Devlin were fair game because Conor McGregor previously spoke about Khabib Nurmagomedov's wife.

The YouTuber made unpleasant remarks about Devlin in a video posted online last week in which he offered McGregor $50million (€41m) to fight him.

Paul said the UFC star's fiancee was "a four [out of ten]" and claimed McGregor "could do a lot better".

Defending the comments, he told TMZ: “I don’t give a f***. He (Conor McGregor) spoke on Khabib’s (Nurmagomedov) wife. He said Khabib’s wife looks like a towel.”

Paul added: "He’s getting a taste of his own medicine.

"And now all of a sudden, people are b***hurt (and saying that) I’m going too far. F*** off. This is the fight game.

"Like why are people being b****es now all of a sudden? You know, same with Dillon Danis.

"They’ve said f***ed up s*** about religion, Khabib’s religion; F*** those guys.”

McGregor last year tweeted a photo of Nurmagomedov and his wife, who was wearing traditional Muslim wedding attire, and said: "Your wife is a towel mate."

The tweet was quickly deleted after it was criticised by a large number of people online.

Meanwhile, Paul has claimed that he has held talks with McGregor's team over a potential bout.

He said: "We're talking to his team. [Conor] looked at my DM on Instagram. But, we're talking to his team.

"When we sent them the proof of funds they like put their tail between their a**… they're like, 'This little crazy kid ain't playing."
