Jake Paul has taken a page out of UFC star Conor McGregor 's book after he announced his 'retirement' from boxing was over after all of one day.
Paul had teased his retirement from the sport on social media just hours after beating Tyron Woodley, tweeting: "Updated status, retired boxer".
But the 24-year-old has now performed a U-turn after taking to Twitter to say: "Updated status: I’m coming out of retirement".
It comes just days after Paul's split decision win against former UFC champion Woodley which saw the YouTube star extend his unbeaten record to four fights.
And his 'retirement' echoes those of McGregor who twice took to social media to claim he had hung up his gloves, after his loss to Nate Diaz in 2016 and most recently in June of last year.
On both occasions he returned to the cage shortly afterwards.
Paul has repeatedly called out the Irishman for a fight, including after his more-recent win.
He said: “Conor McGregor has a lot more to focus on than me right now. I’m five wins in a row. He’s 1-3 in the past four years.
"The guy needs to get off his little vodka or whatever his brand is and sober up and start to get back in the gym, and then we can f****** fight."
Paul also fired back at Nate Diaz after the UFC fan favourite tweeted during his fight with Woodley: "These guys both suck".
“Another loser, talking up. Of course, he wants a payday. I’m one of the money fighters now in boxing. The guy’s got a chin, but he doesn’t land punches, right? So that fight’s there, no problem," said Paul.
"Thank you for the attention. Thank you for watching me. I appreciate it, fanboy.”
Before his fight with Woodley, Paul revealed a "hit list" of names he plans to fight inside the ring. The list included the likes of pound-for-pound No.1 Canelo Alvarez and UFC champ Kamaru Usman, as well ah McGregor and Diaz.
But the YouTube star could be fighting a very different calibre of opponent in his next boxing match.
Tommy Fury picked up a decision win on the undercard of Paul vs Woodley against Paul's sparring partner Anthony Taylor, all but setting up a fight with 'The Problem Child'.

The two were involved in a heated confrontation backstage in Cleveland after Paul's win.
And Fury said of the confrontation: "I was doing an interview and his whole team landed.
"Jake Paul's squaring up to me, the whole thing but he's seen me at ringside leaning over the ropes waiting to get in there and there's Logan saying, 'not right now'.
"We can put everyone's mind to rest and stop bulls***ing all the time and just say how it is, you either want the fight or not.
"I want the fight, and if you don't, that's fine just say it and I can go my way and you go yours, but stop using my name."
