Jake Paul calls out Nate Diaz and Canelo Alvarez after beating Anderson Silva

Jake Paul called out "b****" Nate Diaz - and boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez - after outpointing Anderson Silva.

Paul dropped Silva on his way to winning a unanimous decision against the 47-year-old, extending his unbeaten record to six professional fights. It was arguably the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s best performance yet, as the judges saw it 77-74, 78-73 and 78-73 after eight rounds.

And in his post-fight interview, Paul called out Diaz whilst claiming he tried to cause “s***” in his locker room before fighting Silva. “I want Nate Diaz, he’s a b****,” Paul said.

“He tried to come into my locker room and cause some s*** then he always leaves the f****ng arena so Nate Diaz, stop being a b**** and fight me.” Paul also called out undisputed super-middleweight champion Alvarez when addressing his next challenge as he added: “Canelo, you too. You guys said you can’t beat a striker and a legend like Anderson Silva, I just did it. So, why can’t I beat Canelo? F*** y’all.”

Diaz was in attendance at the Desert Diamond Arena in Phoenix, Arizona for Paul’s fight against Silva as his teammate Chris Avila was competing on the undercard of the event.

The former UFC featherweight overcame a huge size disadvantage to beat YouTube star ‘Doctor Mike’ Varshavski by unanimous decision as Diaz was ringside to cheer him on. Diaz had seemingly left the arena by the time the opening bell sounded for Paul and Silva’s fight.

Fan favourite Diaz has been linked to a fight with Jake Paul since the beginning of this year and the clash is now easier to make as Diaz parted ways with the UFC last month having spent 15 years competing in the promotion.

Diaz admitted Paul is on his radar when he recently told iD Boxing: "Jake is for sure one of the options, he's doing big stuff, he's doing really big things and he's got a big fight ahead of him and if he wins that I think people should surely be really impressed by it.”

Diaz has never competed in boxing but his skills in the ring have been backed by former world champions such as Andre Ward and Regis Prograis. The exclusivity period of Diaz’s UFC contract means he will likely be unable to negotiate a fight with Paul until the start of next year. Diaz added fuel to the fire over a potential fight against Paul by flipping off a picture of the 25-year-old on a TV screen earlier this week.
