Jake Paul beats Gib in first round before calling out YouTube rival KSI

Jake Paul needed less than three minutes to stop AnEsonGib - and then called out rival KSI.

The younger Paul brother won his first fight as a professional against his fellow social media influencer, less than three months after sibling Logan lost to KSI.

He now hopes to avenge that defeat later this year with the pair having to be separated in the ring after the final bell.

There was an obvious size difference as Paul and Gib walked to the ring in Miami three days before the Super Bowl.

And it quickly became apparent that there was only going to be one winner as the American boxed on the back foot while landing his right hand seemingly at ease.

Gib touched the canvas for the first count and was then adjudged to have been kept up by the ropes shortly after for the second.

The Brit looked to be struggling with his balance and was barely able to remain standing, so it was of little surprise when the referee stepped in shortly after.

"That was lit," said Paul. "I'm taking a moment to soak it in. I caught the boxing bug, I put the work in and I’m in love with this sport.

"My power and speed took him out in the first round.

"I dedicated the last five months of my life to this, I sacrificed everything for this. You all said this was my best competitor and I silenced him in one round.

"I didn't even get to showcase my boxing ability."

KSI then clambered into the ring to confront Paul with the latter adding: "KSI is next, where is that pussy at? KSI is going to get clocked next."

The rivals exchanged insults before they were pulled apart by security after they began arguing over who would be the A-side should they clash later this year.

Earlier in the evening, two new world champions were crowned.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev edged out Daniel Roman by split division after 12 tight rounds to become the unified super-bantamweight champion.

And Tevin Farmer then lost his belt to JoJo Diaz who was given the nod by unanimous decision to become the new super-featherweight champion.
