Jake Paul and Joe Fournier put rivalry to one side to send message to KSI

Jake Paul and Joe Fournier have joined forces to send a trolling message to KSI ahead of the Brit's fight with Paul's long-time rival in May.

Fournier and Paul have previously had a tumultuous relationship, with the 'boxing billionaire' even once drafting in the YouTuber's ex-girlfriend Julia Rose to work his corner for a fight on his undercard. But they have worked out their differences, and seemingly come together to mock KSI ahead of Fournier's May 13 showdown with his fellow Brit.

The unbeaten boxer made his professional debut back in 2015 after a few years of white collar boxing and managed to amass a 9-0 record, which included a WBA international title win which has since been overturned. And he takes on his biggest fight yet at the OVO Arena Wembley in May when he faces the UK's biggest YouTube star.

"Guess who's here?" Fournier can be seen asking in an Instagram video before panning his phone over to Paul, who jokingly says "hey KSI, it's your dads." The Brit then asks "who's going to win?" To which Paul replies "You, bro. 100 per cent. KSI, I think he's going to bring a tough fight but he hasn't gone up against anybody at your level. That's just facts."

There is then a brief cut in the footage, before it comes back to Paul saying that he is "going to leave [KSI] on the ground," before the pair appear to agree to a bout afterwards. Fournier has been chasing the Paul fight since appearing on the undercard of his bout with Ben Askren in 2021, and it could potentially come to fruition after the pair's recent interaction.

As recently as last week, however, Paul was mocking Fournier, telling KSI that even a win over the Brit wouldn't place him as the top influencer boxer. "Hahaha. I’m your idol," he wrote. "So when you beat a guy whose last pro fight was over two years ago against a reggaeton singer that had never boxed in his life, you are the pound for pound best?! Or is because his fight before that was 6 years ago against a 1-11 'boxer'? Sham."

Paul is currently assessing his options after losing his first fight to Tommy Fury last month in Saudi Arabia. He had previously gone unbeaten in his three years as a professional, but he was defeated by the Love Island star in a split decision after years of build-up between the pair.

He has a contractually obligated rematch, but Fury appears to believe that the bout won't happen next, telling Soccer AM: “I’m down for the rematch. I’ll fight him tomorrow, it’s not an issue. Does he want it now? I’m not so sure. He was the one barking up the hill, but I’m sitting on the top of that hill now. So, it’s my call. There’s a lot of meetings going on, but believe you me, the next fight I take, it will be bigger than Jake Paul.”
