Jake Humphrey hits back at Martin Keown after he threatens to 'put him away'

Jake Humphrey has hit back at Martin Keown after the Arsenal legend threatened to "put him away" on BT Sport.

The presenter took to Twitter on Friday morning to post two pictures mocking Keown alongside the caption: "Oooooh, you're hard..."

One of the two images was a close-up of the former Arsenal central defender while the other was the infamous picture of Keown jumping on Ruud van Nistelrooy during the 2003 Battle of Old Trafford, but with Humphrey's head superimposed on the body of the ex-Manchester United forward.

Keown was providing analysis on the Gunners' Europa League quarter-final first leg win over Napoli on Thursday when he was interrupted by Humphrey.

"It's very obviously only half-time in the tie," said Keown, while discussing the tie, before the BT Sport presenter butted in.

"Great observation, Martin," joked Humphrey, to which Keown immediately responded: "You trying to put me away, Jake? I'll put you away."

Fans watching the action took to Twitter to react to the tense stand-off between the duo.

A third concluded: "Jake Humphrey needs to stop trying to banter people, man."
