Jake Hastie’s Rangers compensation fee revealed as Motherwell dig heels in

Rangers will be expected to fork out £350,000 in compensation for Jake Hastie , according to a report.

Motherwell are understood to be digging their heels in for a sizeable fee for the 20-year-old who will move to Ibrox under freedom of contract in the summer.

Hastie has enjoyed a stunning breakthrough year at Fir Park, bagging seven goals in 14 appearances, after coming through the system with the Steelmen.

And the Express state Well are entitled to £355,000 for the attacking midfielder under FIFA rules.

Rangers are hopeful of avoiding the deal heading to a tribunal but Motherwell are willing to take the risk if the Ibrox club don't offer the full whack for Hastie.

Hastie has had a huge impact for Stephen Robinson’s side this season after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at Jim Goodwin's Alloa Athletic.

The player netted in Motherwell's Premiership wins over Livingston, St Mirren Hearts and Hamilton as well as League and Scottish Cup losses to Aberdeen and Ross County respectively.

Hastie's blistering form also saw him rewarded with his first international call-up when he was drafted into Scot Gemmill's under 21 squad last month and featured in both friendly matches against Mexico and Sweden in Marbella.
