The Only Way is Essex star and footballer Jake Hall has died, aged 35, in an accident at a holiday villa in Spain.
The reality TV star, who played for Boston United, was reportedly found by police with fatal head wounds believed to have been caused after smashing through a glass door.
A Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) spokesperson told The Independent: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”
According to the publication, Hall, who has an eight-year-old daughter, was renting the house in Santa Margalida, and was staying with six others – four men and two women, who are being questioned by police.
No arrests have been made, but an investigation is underway, being led by the Spanish Civil Guard.
A police source told the outlet: “We are focusing on the theory the victim died in a tragic accident after hitting his head against the glass door, but it is still too early to say definitely what happened.”
The Independent has reached out to the Spanish Civil Guard and the FCDO for comment.
The mother of Hall’s daughter has asked for privacy, saying that the pair need time to come to terms with their “devastating loss”.
A statement shared by model Misse Beqiri’s talent agent read: “At this time, Misse’s focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss.
“The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately.”
Before his death, Hall shared an Instagram post from Spain, writing: “Life is bollocks sometimes but I’m gonna try remember the good things. Looking through things. I’m just making art – in many forms.”

Hall first appeared on TOWIE’s 14th series, which aired in 2015, and remained on the show for three series. During his time on the show, he dated Chloe Lewis.
After shooting to fame on the ITV2 series, the clothing brand owner said he found it difficult losing his privacy. “Everyone knows your life within days of being on the show, but I like it – it's been great,” he said on This Morning.
In 2018, after leaving the ITV2 series, he got engaged to model Misse Beqiri, with whom he had an on-off relationship. They had their daughter that same year. In recent years, Hall had been managing his clothing brand and working as an artist, while splitting his time between the UK and Spain.
DJ Fat Tony led the tributes to Hall, writing on Instagram: “Devastating news we Love you @jakehall. Such an awful loss to the world, you beautiful man.” Blue singer Antony Costa wrote: “So sad. what a lovely bloke you were mate. RIP.”
Hall’s death comes months after another former TOWIE star, Jordan Wright, was discovered dead in a drainage ditch in Thailand.
The 33-year-old, originally from Stanford-le-Hope in Essex, was found on 14 March this year in Phuket province.
