The Dawgs have not looked as sharp on offense this past month as they usually have, showing signs of weakness against Tennessee and Kentucky while also losing to South Carolina at home.
A rocky month it has been for Bulldog football, but in the end Georgia can still accomplish all of its preseason goals.
Jake Fromm let the world know that their offense will not be seeing any drastic changes come Saturday’s matchup against the #6 Florida Gators.
“If you’re looking for a 180 change, that’s not going to be us. We’re not going to 180 change, we’re just going to do what we do, we’re going to do it better, and we’re going to be more effective doing it.” said Fromm this week in a press conference.
That provides fans with some reassurance and trust in Fromm and the team, similar to an Aaron Rodgers “R-E-L-A-X” quote.
Fromm and head coach Kirby Smart have been doing this and doing it pretty well for some time now. Together, the two have won an SEC Championship, a Rose Bowl, came one play away from a National Championship and came one spot short of making it back to the playoff the next year. Smart has established a culture of winning that has rubbed off on many of the players.
Some team members were involved in a players only meeting following the loss to South Carolina that Fromm said was “good for us” but also was “between us and this team”, as he did not comment on the contents of that meeting.
Fromm looks and sounds confident in his demeanor and seems to have motivated his players ahead of Saturday’s big matchup. The outcome of this game against Florida will most likely determine the SEC East victor and who goes to the SEC Championship.
“I think we’ve had a really good two or three weeks of practice since the South Carolina game … We’re ready to go out and show what we’ve been working on.”
