Jake Fisher’s TE experiment with Bills is already over

Former Cincinnati Bengals second-round pick and offensive tackle Jake Fisher latched on with the Buffalo Bills this offseason as a tight end.

Fisher didn’t last long in Buffalo though, as the Bills cut Fisher after minicamp right after the draft and instead signed free-agent Lee Smith.

Fisher was one half of the offensive tackle-based draft in 2015 as the Bengals looked to move on from Andrew Whitworth. First-round pick Cedric Ogbuehi busted and is now in Jacksonville.

As for Fisher, he had a season end early due to a heart operation, then finished last year on injured reserve.

The 26-year-old tight end once again heads to free agency, though he faces a tougher market this time around with another class of rookies now in the league.
