Love Island's Jake Cornish has slammed the show's editing after he skipped the reunion and cast parties.
The 24-year-old former water engineer from Weston-super-Mare sparked concern when he missed the reunion show, hosted by Laura Whitmore, on ITV2 earlier this month.
A brief statement read out on the show simply said that due to illness, Jake was unable to attend, prompting viewers to speculate over his mysterious absence.
During a recent Q&A on his Instagram Stories, he invited his 436,000 followers to ask him anything, and he hinted at his disappointment over how the public has perceived him since being in the villa.
One fan asked Jake: "Well unfair the way the public reacted to u on the show. What's your thoughts on it?"
"If people knew what was said which wasn't aired I think people would believe differently," Jake cryptically replied, hinting that he had been edited unfairly during his stint on the ITV2 dating show.
Jake’s apparent gaslighting behaviour towards girlfriend Liberty Poole worried viewers, who were concerned that he was being manipulative and controlling.
Liberty later broke off the relationship after becoming worried that Jake wasn’t fully committed to their romance - amid claims that he was game playing to win the £50,000 prize - and the former couple walked out of the villa just days before the grand final.
Jake also shed more light on his time in the villa, with one asking: “What do you miss the most about leaving the villa?"
However, his vague reply - and without a mention of Liberty - raised eyebrows.
"I miss all the amazing people in there and the sun definitely," Jake wrote.
A few of the star’s followers were concerned about the former Islander's mental health after leaving the villa, and reached out to check if he was okay.
"Got so many amazing things in the pipeline, I can't wait to share it with you all," Jake replied.
"Not a question, but I hope your okay," another follower said during the Q&A.

"So many people have asked this," he said, alongside a love heart emoji.
"I'm good thanks, been unwell for the last week but starting to feel much better today."
He later told his fans he works out four times a week, to try and keep his impressive physique in shape, and has "many things to come" over the next five years.
"Watch this space," he teased.
Jake also revealed he was in contact with the other Islanders, but didn't give any specific details as to who he was speaking to since leaving the Spanish villa.
His absence from cast parties and the eagerly-anticipated reunion has since prompted fans to speculate that he hasn’t been in touch with his fellow Islanders, following his split from Liberty.
