JAIPUR: Kalwar police on Friday arrested a notorious drug peddler and seized 7kg ganja during an operation. The accused was idenitfied by the police as one Roshan Rao (20). DCP (West) Richa Tomar said that the accused was arrested from Sanchoti Road with his bike.
Tomar said that police received input that the accused was travelling with a large consignment of narcotics. Attempts were being made to bust the network in which the accused is involved, he said.
Police had launched operation 'clean sweep' with an aim to identify and arrest accused involved in selling and procurement of drugs.
Meanwhile, Kalwar police said that the accused is being quizzed to find out who he had come to deliver drugs to in Kalwar. tnn
