JAIPUR: The city police were left red-faced after BJP MP Dr Kirori Lal Meena hoisted a flag of the Meena community on a part of the Amagarh fort on Sunday despite heavy police bandobast.
Meena and his supporters clicked pictures and released multiple videos from the hill before a police officers detained them.
In one of the videos shot by his supporters, Meena said that he and his supporters hoisted a flag dedicated to the deity of the Meena community.
The Jaipur police, however, claimed that the MP did not go all the way to the main fort but tied the flag on one of the many ramparts of the hill fort.
The city police had earlier said that adequate security arrangements were in place to prevent anyone from going near the fort.
