A deeply disturbing domestic abuse case from Rajasthan has sparked outrage online after shocking allegations and emotional witness accounts from two children began circulating widely on social media.
The case centres around Anu Meena, a Jaipur woman who allegedly died by suicide. Her husband, Gautam Meena, is a senior official working as an Executive Engineer in the Public Works Department (PWD).
While the case was initially treated as a suicide investigation, viral claims, family allegations and statements reportedly made by the couple’s children have now triggered a massive online debate around domestic violence, abusive marriages and accountability.
Family Alleges Years Of Physical And Mental Abuse
According to a report by NDTV, Anu’s family alleged that she had been facing physical and emotional abuse since marrying Gautam in 2015.
Relatives claimed the violence often escalated after he consumed alcohol. The allegations became even more heartbreaking after details reportedly shared by the couple’s young children surfaced online.
Their 10-year-old son, Mahir, allegedly told relatives that he had repeatedly seen his father assaulting his mother. He also recalled one frightening incident where Gautam allegedly came home, blasted loud music on the television, broke the TV and physically attacked Anu.
