This list includes 23 people locked up for crimes linked to Merseyside this past week.
One judge had to sentence a crooked carer who scammed her own mum, dad, nan and a disabled woman.
Another judge dealt with a paedophile priest who ruined the lives of his victims.

Courts heard about an EncroChat drug dealer codenamed "JetHawk" who was part of an audacious international drug plot and a Merseyside based drug gang brought crashing down thanks to painstaking detective work.
Meanwhile, disturbing cases also included a pensioner who wanted to rape a 12-year-old girl, a cowardly paedophile who wouldn't face his sentencing and a rapist who got put in a chokehold and punched before he was thrown in jail.
Here is an overview of some of the most serious cases to have concluded this past week.
John Hind
"Controlling and jealous" John Hind stabbed his ex-girlfriend and her new man after dressing a life size doll in her clothes.
The attack by 23-year-old Hind at Amber Maher's home in Old Swan on June 16 was so “ferocious” that the blade broke from the handle.
He stabbed her four times in her left thigh, once in her left arm, and slashed her left elbow and right upper arm, requiring 156 stitches.
When her new boyfriend Tom Downey intervened and punched him, Hind stabbed him twice in the side of his body, requiring 20 staples.
Hind, of Sonning Road, Walton, admitted wounding Ms Maher and Mr Downey with intent and possessing a bladed article.
He was jailed for four years and eight months.
Father Thomas MacCarte
Father Thomas MacCarte 's sexual abuse of two altar boys was "covered up" by the Catholic Church, a judge said.
He molested two children after letting them smoke cannabis and drink alcohol at Bishop Eton Monastery in Childwall.
The teenagers have since been plagued by anger, shame and "self-hatred", and one tried to kill himself.
But after one boy's dad complained to Bishop Eton's then parish priest, MacCarte was moved to Scotland, rather than reported to the police.
MacCarte, now 70, was found guilty of three counts of indecent assault over the attacks in Merseyside three decades ago.
The disgraced priest, of St Mary's Monastery, Hatton Road, Perth, was jailed for four years.
Clare Roughley
Crooked carer Clare Roughley scammed her own mum, dad, nan and a disabled woman out of £325,000.
For six years she exploited her victims by using online bank accounts to get her hands on huge sums used to cover her gambling addiction.
A judge slammed the ex bank employee for using insider knowledge to "systematically, ruthlessly and remorselessly extract every last penny".
Roughley, 39 of Newfields in St Helens, stole £91,437 from her dad Raymond Roughley; £158,735 belonging to her mum, Delwyn Roughley; and £58,221 belonging to the estate of her grandmother, Theresa Leyland.
The mum-of-two also stole £17,220 belonging to Jean Almond, who she helped to care and would often take out on shopping trips.
The 39-year-old admitted four counts of theft and one count of fraud, relating to setting up a credit card in Mrs Almond's name.
Roughley was jailed for six years.
Erjoni Ramaj, Tafil Ramaj, and Alensio Rucaj
Three men were caught hiding in the loft of a derelict pub converted into a £336,000 cannabis farm.
Police were called to The Tricorn in Palacefields, Runcorn, on January 9 this year after reports of men breaking in via a back gate.
When officers arrived at the Grade-II listed premises, they found 343 cannabis plants across three rooms plus growing equipment.
The huge farm had a potential yield of 28.5kg of the Class B drug.
Erjoni Ramaj, 24, of no fixed address; Tafil Ramaj, 24, of Balcombe Road, Horley, Surrey; and Alensio Rucaj, now 21, of High Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire, were arrested at the scene.
All three suspects, from Albania, later admitted producing cannabis, but claimed they had travelled up from London that day simply to water the plants and carry out some labour at the pub for a man called "Tony" who they owed a debt.
The men three, who had no previous convictions, were each jailed for two years.
John Toohey
John Toohey stole £4,000 of jewellery and cash from a Wirral home.
The 23-year-old, of Oil Street, Liverpool city centre, targeted a house in Hoylake Road, Birkenhead on February 24 this year.
Following extensive Merseyside Police enquiries, he was arrested as part of Operation Castle in May.
Toohey, who admitted burglary, was jailed for two years.
Mum who failed son
A little boy could have been saved from rape if his mum hadn't ignored repeated warnings from police and social services.
David Bradbury filmed and encouraged William Gamble as the 65-year-old carried out horrific sexual abuse against the child.
Bradbury, 55, later offered to pay the boy's mum £30 for more access to the victim.
The "dangerous" rapists, who "acted as a team", were both jailed for 16 years, with an extended one year on licence, in March.
But the boy's mum, who cannot be named because that would identify her son, admitted child neglect and conceded she deliberately and repeatedly exposed her son to the risk of sexual abuse, by allowing him to keep seeing them, despite being told over and over again not to.
She was jailed for four years.
Andrew Priestley
Andrew Priestley stormed his former girlfriend's home and forced his way into her locked bedroom while she cowered in fear.
The 39-year-old threatened to "terrorise" Natasha Smith after they split up and "completely ignored" a restraining order.
He went to her house in the early hours of the morning when she was asleep in bed before confronting and assaulting her.
Priestley - who has 26 previous convictions for 75 offences - left her "constantly living in fear".
But the thug, of no fixed address but originally from Widnes, said he was sorry and never meant to cause her any distress.
He was jailed for 15 months.
Reagen Tjiueza
Reagen Tjiueza who was told he had "no right to work" used fake documents to get a job at care homes.
The 32-year-old, of Wordsworth Street, Toxteth, arrived in the UK on May 18, 2019 from Ethiopia and claimed asylum.
He was given accommodation and began to receive benefit payments of £33.75 per week, but told he had no right to work.
Despite this, he applied for work as a carer with Sabaoth Care, Lords Care Recruitment and Fenwick Healthcare Staffing, after using a fake French passport as ID.
Tjiueza admitted four counts of fraud, two counts of possessing an identification document with improper intent, and one count of failure to notify of a change of circumstances. He was jailed for 12 months.
James Ryan
James Ryan bit a taxi driver before threatening to hunt down and rape a police officer's children.
Ryan kicked and punched John McEneaney's black cab, at a taxi rank on Hanover Street in Liverpool city centre.
He tried to pull off his wing mirror and when the victim got out and told him to go away, knocked him to the ground.
Ryan, 39, of City Road, Walton, bit Mr McEneaney's head and punched him repeatedly, then threated to stab him.
When arrested after the attack, at around 11pm, on May 23, 2019, he racially abused a police custody officer.
Ryan admitted a racially aggravated public order offence, assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
The thug, who has 13 previous convictions for 21 offences, was jailed for 20 months.
Stephen Melbourne
Stephen Melbourne is now banned from going near his ex-girlfriend indefinitely after he left her terrified for her future.
The 41-year-old, formerly of Southwood Road, Aigburth, was described by his ex-partner Laura Graylish as “unhinged, violent and unpredictable when he uses drugs and alcohol".
He has breached a restraining order on seven occasions, has attacked Ms Graylish, and, on July 10 this year, threatened to burn down the house of a man she had contacted on Facebook.
Melbourne, of Downside, Widnes, admitted two offences of breaching the restraining order.
He was jailed for 18 months.
Paul Shields
Paedophile Paul Shields who forced his victims to endure a trial looked shocked when a judge told him his sentence.
The 45-year-old, of Beechwood Drive, Formby was found guilty of 22 sexual offences involving two female victims.
The offences took place between 2006 and 2011 and came to light in 2018 when his victims found the courage to contact the police.
Twenty of the offences which included attempted rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault and causing a child to engage in sexual activity involved one of the girls and spanned several years.
The other two offences of sexual assault and causing a child to engage in sexual activity involved the second child.
Shields was jailed for 21 years.
Andrew Edgson
A mum-of-two was horrified to discover that her partner Andrew Edgson was a convicted child sex offender.
The woman made inquiries with police in April this year after he had vanished from her life and she learnt he was in prison.
She told officers she had been in a relationship with 38-year-old Edgson for 18 months and did not know why he was in jail.
Recorder David Knifton, QC, told him: "The police notified her, to her utter shock and distress, that you had been convicted and sentenced for serious sexual offences upon a child."
Edgson, who had been living with the woman and her children at her Bootle home, admitted failing to comply with registration requirements.
The pervert, of no fixed address, but formerly of Huyton, was jailed for 12 months.
Jay Maugham
Jay Maugham was found with a stash of 19 mobile phones hidden inside a radio he kept in his jail cell.
He also had a charger for each of the devices and a single SIM card while he was being held at Altcourse.
The banned items were discovered while the 41-year-old was serving time for a knife attack that nearly killed his partner's ex-husband.
Prison officers searched Maugham's cell in April of this year, discovering a screw bit, then the stash of 18 tiny Zanco phones and one iPhone.
He admitted possessing the phones, charges and a SIM card and was jailed for 14 months.
Steven Lequesne
A hero interrupted Steven Lequesne 's brutal rape by putting him in a chokehold and punching him in the face.
The 23-year-old "preyed" on a lone vulnerable woman who had been on a night out in Southport this summer.
Harrowing CCTV footage showed the victim kicking Lequesne and trying to fight him off as he raped her in bushes.
When passer-by Christopher Fletcher heard the woman screaming "no", a judge said he rushed to stop the "brutal and terrifying attack".
Lequesne, of no fixed address but formerly of Tuebrook, raped his victim after 1am, near Napthens Solicitors, on Hoghton Street.
He admitted rape and was jailed for 10 and a half years, with an extended four and a half years on licence.
Anthony Lenehan
EncroChat drug dealer Anthony Lenehan was the man behind the codename 'JetHawk'.
Lenehan had connections to Dubai and exchanged messages suggesting his influence may have stretched to India and Iran.
He also pooled together with a group of other suppliers to source a mega-shipment of 100kg of cocaine through Hamburg in Germany.
The 57-year-old had worked with others to order the massive haul, 8kgs of which was his.
Lenehan, of Scarisbrick Road in Walton, but who lived in Dubai until recently, admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine and making a false statement to gain a passport.
He was jailed for eight years and 10 months.
William Meehan
William Meehan who intended to rape a 12-year-old girl took a Viagra tablet and bottle of Blue WKD with him.
The then 75-year-old, travelled from Kirkby to a swimming pool in Preston to meet up with a girl called "Jess".
In online chats he told Jess she was his "girlfriend" and he wanted to "make love" to her while her mum was away.
But the girl was actually an undercover police officer and when he arrived at the leisure centre, he was arrested.
The now 76-year-old, of Cawthorne Avenue, Southdene, Kirkby, admitted two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child, possessing extreme porn and attempting to facilitate the commission of a child sex offence, relating to his behaviour in January.
He was jailed for three years and seven months.
Dennis Dawrant Junior, Edward Metcalfe, Stephen Folan and Joanne Cooke
A Merseyside drug gang was uncovered after police found £70,000 of drugs on a courier driving from Liverpool.
Joanne Cooke was pulled over on the A19 at Crathorne, near Yarm, North Yorkshire in April 2016 as she was couriering 1/2kg of cocaine, which was described as ''high purity, import quality'', and 2kg of cannabis.
She was in constant contact with Liverpool-based Dennis Dawrant Junior, during every trip she made.
Dennis Dawrant Junior, 43, described as, ''the lynchpin at the heart of it'' arranged more than 70 courier trips to Teesside from Liverpool.
Couriers included Edward Metcalfe and Stephen Folan.
All of the gang admitted two charges of conspiring to supply Class A and Class B drugs, except Folan, who was found guilty after a trial.
Gang leader Dawrant Junior, of Capricorn Crescent, Huyton, received a 12-year prison term.
Metcalfe, 60, of Green Bank Drive, Sefton Park, received eight years.
Folan, 37, of Northumberland Street in Toxteth received seven and a half years and six months.
Cooke, 36, of Trentham Avenue, Mossley Hill received four years and eight months.
Robert Burns
Cowardly paedophile Robert Burns who "did not have the courage" to face his sentencing was jailed for nine years.
HIs victims, who have all been left psychologically scarred, bravely attended court to see the 61-year-old abuser face justice.
Judge Stuart Driver, QC told them: "He has not had the courage to come into court to face the truth and face his victims so he will be sentenced in his absence."
Burns, of Fishguard Close, Everton, was convicted after a trial of 12 offences of indecent assault on five boys ranging in age from six to 15.
Burns gave some of his victims alcohol before abusing them, showered them with money and gifts and showed one of them pornography.
He was found guilty of repeatedly abusing four of the boys and one offence on the other child when he was aged between 13 and 15.
