A man who defied a court order to stay away from his ex-partner has been sent to prison for four months.
Thomas Murphy, 48, of no fixed address, was sentenced at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.
He admitted breaching a bail order imposed at Glasgow Sheriff Court in September.
It was supposed to keep him away from Amanda McGhee, but Murphy made contact with her in Fleming Way, Hamilton, on October 30.
He also admitted shouting abuse and threats at a house in the same street.
Sheriff Daniel Kelly added 14 days to Murphy’s sentence after hearing he was on early release from prison when he committed the latest offences.
