A man who assaulted a woman and a police officer then hurled racist abuse at another cop has been jailed for eight months.
Liam Newlands was sentenced at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week after a disturbance in Rosepark Avenue, Viewpark, on June 1.
Newlands, of Stirling Way, Baillieston, admitted headbutting Denise Lowry and kicking PC James Mutter.
The 29-year-old also admitted shouting abuse and threats at PC Moshen Razzaq. His rowdy conduct continued all the way to Coatbridge police station.
Sheriff Vincent Smith heard Newlands has a long list of previous convictions including public order offences.
