Jail for man nabbed with a meat cleaver in Hamilton street

A Hamilton man caught in the street with a meat cleaver has been jailed for two years.

Kyle Anderson was convicted last week of having a bladed item in the town’s Fairhill Avenue and Mill Road on July 8 last year.

Anderson, 27, of Clydesdale Avenue, denied illegal possession of the meat cleaver, but a jury at Hamilton Sheriff Court found him guilty.
