Jail bosses have ordered inmates to “be nice” to monster Rose West .
The Cromwell Street serial killer has been moved from top security Low Newton in Co Durham to West Yorkshire’s New Hall prison.
Lags at the tough women’s jail have been warned not to bully the new resident.
Those who do face losing perks like in-cell tellies or being able to buy treats and toiletries.
A source said: “They’ve been told that physical and verbal threats will not be tolerated and could result in a loss of privileges.
“They want West to settle as well as she can and they don’t want her getting upset and self-harming or even worse.
“Despite what she has done, it is a traumatic experience when prisoners change jails and the bosses want West’s transition to go as smoothly as possible.”
The jail is in a rural setting between Huddersfield and Wakefield but the view from her cell is over a stark all-weather sports pitch.
West, 65, will be able to join exercise classes like yoga and Zumba.
She was previously held at HMP Bronzefield, Middlesex, but moved to Low Newton in 2008 after a plot to attack her with pool balls in a sock. Her latest move is said to be a routine switch.
West was jailed for life in 1995 for her part in the murders of 10 girls with rapist builder husband Fred .
They included her eight-year-old stepdaughter Charmaine.
Fred West, who buried the bodies at their home in Cromwell Street, Gloucester, hanged himself in jail before his trial in 1995 aged 53.
Last night the Prison Service would not comment.
