Jaguars sign former Chiefs WR Chris Conley

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed former Kansas City Chiefs receiver Chris Conley and made the move official via social media Saturday morning. And just like Friday’s signing of Geoff Swaim, Conley’s addition is one that addresses a need for the Jags who struggled mightily at receiver with Marqise Lee being out for the season in 2018.

Conley, 26, was drafted in the third-round of the 2015 NFL Draft (No. 76 overall) by the Chiefs out of the University of Georgia. He wowed those in attendance at the combine killing the process and currently holds the event’s highest vertical leap of 45 inches. While in Kansas City, Conley put together a couple 300+ yard seasons (including a career-high of 530 in 2016) and managed to accumulate 334 yards for five touchdowns this past season.

Conley also played with newly signed quarterback Nick Foles in Kansas City, which as you all can see above sealed the deal. He’s been a big supporter of the veteran in the past and now they’ll reunite in Jacksonville in an attempt to get them back in the postseason.
