Jaguars QB Nick Foles has sore abdominal, expected to play against Chiefs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. _ Quarterback Nick Foles was listed on the Jaguars' estimated injury report on Wednesday because of a sore abdominal oblique muscle.

The injury occurred last week and Foles is expected to play Sunday against Kansas City, the franchise said.

Foles' only preseason action came in Week 3 when he played four series against the Miami Dolphins and completed 6 of 10 passes for 48 yards and threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Dede Westbrook during the Jaguars' 22-7 loss.

The Jaguars, like the rest of the league's 31 teams, are required to release an injury report each Wednesday during the regular season. However, the Jaguars' injury report is an estimate because they canceled Wednesday's practice due to Hurricane Dorian.

They are expected to resume preparations for Kansas City on Thursday when players are expected to return.

Players listed on the injury report other than Foles were wide receiver Marqise Lee (knee), linebacker Quincy Williams (knee), offensive tackle Cam Robinson (knee), who were all full participants in practices last week. Defensive end Lerentee McCray (ankle), linebacker D.J. Alexander (hamstring), defensive tackle Marcell Dareus (elbow) were limited and offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi (hamstring) and rookie tight end Josh Oliver did not practice last week.
