The game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars was expected to be exciting for opening weekend, and it hasn’t disappointed. After one-half of action, both teams have traded offensive shots at each other on the scoreboard and physically due to chippy play.
The most egregious moment surrounded Jaguars linebacker Myles Jack losing his cool and being ejected during a second-quarter scuffle with Chiefs receivers. Jack can be seen blatantly throwing a punch at wide receiver Demarcus Robinson igniting a mini-brawl amongst players and forcing the referees to restrain players.

Jack appears in the replay to be initially arguing with Chiefs receiver Sammy Watkins who has torched the Jaguars for two first-half touchdowns. Robinson intervened on his teammate’s behalf. This led to the penalty after the play was dead and Jack was immediately escorted off the field by team personnel. He had to be physically restrained by his teammates and the personnel as he left the field.
The physical play has led to a few injuries for the Chiefs as quarterback Patrick Mahomes is dealing with an ankle injury after a sack and wide receiver Tyreek Hill is ruled out for the rest of the game with a shoulder injury. Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles was also knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury in his first regular-season action for the Jaguars.
It could continue to get chippy if the officials don’t take measures to keep things under control.
