Jaguars injury report: TE Josh Oliver, LB D.J. Alexander ruled out vs. Broncos

The Jacksonville Jaguars will go into Week 4’s game against the Denver Broncos predominantly healthy, as they only had two players who were ruled out on their final injury report. Those two players were tight end Josh Oliver and linebacker D.J. Alexander, both of whom are dealing with hamstring injuries.

Meanwhile, All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey surfaced on the injury report as questionable due to a back injury and being excused from the team to be with his family for the birth of his second daughter.

Oliver returned to practice this week after missing roughly eight weeks recovering from a very severe hamstring injury. He practiced up until Thursday, where the team scheduled for him to have an off day due to being fresh off recovery. He also didn’t practice Friday. Meanwhile, D.J. Alexander didn’t practice the whole week, so most expected him to miss Sunday’s game.

Like Alexander, Ramsey didn’t practice all week (but was at the facility) after asking to be traded prior to Week 2’s loss to the Houston Texans. Despite having what he believed was the flu Monday and missing Wednesday with a back injury (the team had Tuesday off), there were many skeptics towards Ramsey’s status during both days as he didn’t rescind his trade request. However, the All-Pro insisted that he was truly ill and injured on the “17 Weeks Podcast” Thursday afternoon.

On Friday, Jags coach Doug Marrone told the media that the team had been in contact with Ramsey and that his daughter had been born. However, with Marrone releasing a statement saying that Ramsey will return when “he’s ready,” it’s possible he could miss Sunday’s game.
