Jaguars enter week as 1.5-point favorites vs. Saints

According to BetMGM, the Jacksonville Jaguars will open up as 1.5-point favorites when they take on the New Orleans Saints at TIAA Bank Field.

Both teams are 3-2 against the spread. The Saints have an overall record of 4-1 and they are currently on a three-game winning streak. The Jaguars are currently 2-3 on the season but have won two out of their last three games.

The over/under for the game is set at 44 points. The Saints currently rank No. 14 in scoring offense, putting up 23 points per game, while the Jaguars are the No. 17 ranked offensive unit, scoring 22.2 points per game. This could mean fans should expect an offensive battle with coach Sean Payton on the sidelines and Gardner Minshew II playing well.

On the money line, the Jaguars are a -125 favorite to win the game, meaning bettors would have to make a $125 bet to win $100.

The Jaguars and the Saints have not played each other much in their history and Sunday’s game will mark just their seventh meeting. Their last meeting came in 2015 where the Saints defeated the Jaguars 38-27 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome. According to Tireball Sports, the Saints were favored in that game by 3.5 points and the over/under was 52 points total.
