Jaguars' coach Doug Marrone says he's disappointed in himself because of team's 4-5 record

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. _ At 4-5, the Jaguars still have a shot at making the playoffs with seven games remaining in the regular season.

But coach Doug Marrone is disappointed in himself because the Jaguars don't have more wins.

"I'm disappointed in myself that I haven't been able to do a better job for the fans and this team and having more wins because that's what our job is," Marrone said earlier this week.

"So, we're going to fight our a _ _ off and work our way back in to getting ourselves in position to play a game, because like I told the team, we had an opportunity last week to put ourselves in a really good position and we didn't take advantage of it."

The Jaguars have lost three of their last five and have yet to beat a team with a winning record this season. But the Jaguars are going back to starting quarterback Nick Foles, who missed the past eight games with a broken left collarbone.

Marrone announced on Tuesday Foles was regaining his starting job from rookie Gardner Minshew.

Even with Foles back, wide receiver Chris Conley admits they have no margin for error left, starting with next week's critical AFC South game against the Indianapolis Colts, who hold the sixth seed in the AFC playoff race.

Houston (6-3) has the tiebreaker edge over the Jaguars after this past Sunday's 26-3 win in London to sweep the two-game series.

Among the Jaguars' remaining games, only the Colts have a winning record and the Oakland Raiders are 4-4.

The Patriots (8-1), Ravens (6-2), Bills (6-2), Texans (6-3), Chiefs (6-3), Colts (5-3), Steelers (4-4) and Raiders (4-4) remain ahead of the Jaguars in the playoff race going into this Sunday's games.

"We're going to need some help, but really we've got to win games," Conley said. "We've got to win games that are tough like this on the road when things aren't ideal, when things don't start fast, we have to be able to recover."

Cornerback A.J. Bouye says they have to finish out this month strong and play the same urgency in December.

"We still got a lot of football," Bouye said. "Unfortunately we're not .500 right now but have the Colts twice and the Titans. We played against a great team (Texans), a great offense, we just got to learn from our mistakes and get back to it."
