Jaguars announce full list of 63 rookie minicamp participants

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced the dates for their rookie minicamp last week and now the list of participants are set in stone. According to the organization’s public relations department, the team will bring in a total of 62 players this upcoming weekend. That will include the Jags’ seven draft selections, there 21 undrafted free agent signings from 2019, six first-year players, one 2018 draft-eligible player in AAF signing Cody Brown and 28 tryout players.

This weekend’s tryout will be from May 10-12 and will give the Jags’ staff a chance to see the seven rookies they drafted including Kentucky pass rusher Josh Allen and Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor amongst notables. They will also get to see some of the notable undrafted players they signed like Marshall receiver Tyree Brady and Alabama cornerback Saivion Smith.

As for the tryout players, if anyone within the group could impress the staff enough, they could end up getting a contract to participate in offseason training activities and training camp, which will give them a shot at the final 53-man roster. Last year, they did just that by signing tight end Zach Conque, rookie linebacker Manase Hungalu and offensive lineman Brandon Smith, none of whom were able to make the final roster.
