Jaguars announce contract extension for DL Jeremiah Ledbetter

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced contract extensions for three players Friday. While deals for special teamer Daniel Thomas and offensive lineman Ezra Cleveland were already reported, a third deal for defensive lineman Jeremiah Ledbetter was revealed.

Ledbetter, who turns 30 in May, joined the Jaguars in 2021 as a member of the practice squad after prior stints with the Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, and Arizona Cardinals. After spending most of 2022 on Jacksonville’s practice squad, he earned a spot on the team’s 53-man roster in 2023 with a strong showing in training camp and preseason.

He was active for all 17 of the Jaguars’ regular season games in 2023 and recorded 24 tackles, one tackle for loss, one fumble recovery, and one tipped pass.

Earlier in the week, the Jaguars released defensive lineman Folorunso Fatukasi in a move to save just over $3.5 million in salary cap space.

Details of the contract for Ledbetter have not yet been revealed.
