Jaguar Racing has renewed its long-term partnership with engineering group GKN.
Redditch-based GKN Automotive will continue its relationship with the West Midlands car brand as its official e-drive partner.
GKN will work closely with the team's technical partners to apply its driveline and software development expertise to the I-Type 5 - Jaguar's new all-electric Formula E race car.
Jaguar Racing competes in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and is now preparing the start of the next season in January in Chile.
GKN Automotive has roots in motorsport dating back almost a century and it worked with Jaguar in 1935 when it supplied driveline technology to the first SS Jaguar saloon.
Jaguar Racing's team director James Barclay said: "We are extremely pleased that GKN Automotive will continue the valued partnership with Jaguar Racing.
"As a key technical partner, their expertise and facilities will play a key role in supporting the performance of the team and the I-TYPE 5.
"The partnership goes beyond the race team as GKN Automotive also plays an important part in developing automotive products across a variety of Jaguar Land Rover models.
"Together, we've had a very successful partnership over the last three years and we look forward to continued success in the future."
GKN Automotive's chief executive Liam Butterworth added: "Renewing our partnership with Jaguar Racing is testament to the strength of our relationship.
"Pushing our technologies to the limits on the race track will speed up innovations, further advancing know-how.
"Therefore, I'm delighted that our expert eDrive engineers will be working in the Jaguar Racing team."
