Jags to face LeSean McCoy Week 1 after his decision to join Chiefs

LeSean McCoy has found a new home and it’s with his old coach Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. The roster move is one in which now sets the Jacksonville Jaguars up to be his first opponent in red and white as they will clash with the Chiefs Week 1 of the regular season.

The acquisition of McCoy is actually one that couldn’t come at a better time for Kansas City as the Jags, who have an elite defense, struggled against the run in 2018. In fact, they finished the season as the No. 19 ranked unit against the rush, allowing an average of 116.9 per game.

The transaction is one that will only strengthen the Chiefs already stacked offense, which features players like quarterback Patrick Mahomes, receivers Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce to name a few. However, it’s a challenge Sacksonville will gladly accept because it will get them to bring their A-game right out of the gate.

Kickoff for the game will be on Sunday, 1 PM EST at TIAA Bank Field. It will mark game No. 12 between the two franchises as the series is tied at 6-6.
