Jags RB Leonard Fournette arrested in Jacksonville for driving with suspended license

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette was arrested around 2:30 p.m. ET today for speeding and knowingly driving with a suspended license, according to several local media outlets. The arrest stems from an unpaid speeding ticket from last year.

Per Vic Micolucci of WJXT News4Jax, Fournette was cited for speeding in Neptune Beach, a neighboring area of Jacksonville, in November. The running back did not pay the $204 fine, and his license was suspended.

Thursday’s arrest came with a $1,508 bond, which Fournette paid.

The Jags released the following statement on the incident, per 104.5 WOKV:

“The Jacksonville Jaguars are aware of the situation involving running back Leonard Fournette and are continuing to gather more information. No further comment will be provided at this time.”

We’ll have more on Fournette’s arrest once it becomes available.
