Jags’ Matt Overton offers to buy season tickets from angry Colts fans

While some Indianapolis Colts fans sincerely understand the retirement of quarterback Andrew Luck, there were others who took the news a lot worse and no longer want their season tickets. However, it appears they won’t have to search hard for a willing buyer.

After seeing a wide array of negative reactions, Jacksonville Jaguars long snapper Matt Overton decided to take matters into his own hands by offering to buy Colts season tickets from any fans who were looking to get a refund. He stated that he’d be donating any purchased tickets to Riley Children’s Hospital to put a smile on a few young fans faces alongside their families.

As most are aware, Overton spent five seasons with Luck and the Colts which naturally helped him to build a relationship with the 29-year-old veteran. He, like many others, shared his thoughts on Twitter when Luck made his decision and expressed a great deal of support for his former teammate and good friend.

It honestly will be interesting to see how many season tickets Overton can manage to garner as the gesture is certainly heartwarming. Who knows, maybe some other Jags, Colts and NFL players will join the cause and help Overton put some smiles on a lot of young people’s faces.
