Jags final Week 10 injury report: Shenault ruled out, Linder ruled questionable

The Jacksonville Jaguars might be without several key contributors when they travel to Lambeau Field. We already reported the news that Week 9 starting defensive tackle Doug Costin (concussion) would be out and the final injury report revealed that star rookie receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (hamstring) would be joining him.

The Jags also officially ruled out quarterback Gardner Minshew II (thumb), running back Devine Ozigbo (hamstring), and linebacker Dakota Allen (ankle), all of whom were expected to miss Sunday’s game against Green Bay after not practicing.

The Jags also ruled center Brandon Linder (back) and safety Josh Jones (chest) as questionable. If either or one can’t go the Jags would have to start Tyler Shatley in Linder’s place and possibly rookie Daniel Thomas in Jones’ place. The Jags could also start Andrew Wingard in Jones’ place, too, if he’s activated to the active roster off injured reserve.

With Costin out, the Jags will likely go back to the player who he replaced Week 9 as a starter in Taven Bryan. As for Shenault, the Jags will now have DJ Chark Jr., Chris Conley, Keelan Cole, and Collin Johnson as their top-4 receivers. If the Jags want to call up a player from the practice squad to give them a fifth receiver Trey Quinn, Terry Godwin, and rookie Josh Hammond are available.

Of course, starting in Minshew’s place for the second consecutive week will be rookie Jake Luton. He had a pretty respectable showing in his debut against the Houston Texans garnering a 68.4% completion rate (26-of-38) for 304 yards, a touchdown, and a pick.
