Jags fans finally expected to get a look at Nick Foles, healthy starters vs. Dolphins

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that nine players will sit out of Thursday’s game against the Miami Dolphins which means fans will likely get to see the majority of their starters take the field. That includes the heavily anticipated debut of Nick Foles, tailback Leonard Fournette, the receivers, and the offensive line.

As most are aware, Foles signed a four-year, $88 million deal guaranteeing over $45 million, which is the most expensive free-agent contract in team history. So far, at least on the practice field, he’s lived up to the contract as he’s had a strong connection with the receivers, particularly Dede Westbrook, DJ Chark and Chris Conley. However, what will really count is how he performs on Sundays, and Week 3’s game is just a stepping stone towards that point.

As we’ve previously mentioned, the game will be a chance for the fans and staff to evaluate the first-team offensive line especially, which has yet to see time together. Additionally, there are spots within the unit where the Jags must crown starters like the right guard and tackle positions, which will make the performances of A.J. Cann, Will Richardson and Jawaan Taylor arguably the most important of the game.
