Jags add Ronnie Harrison to game status injury report as questionable

It seems the injuries are piling up early in the season for Doug Marrone and the Jacksonville Jaguars as another member of the secondary has been added to the game status column on the injury report in safety Ronnie Harrison. According to several media members, the second-year safety was downgraded to questionable Saturday night as the Jags are under 24 hours from taking the field against the Houston Texans.

Harrison initially surfaced on the injury report Thursday with an ankle injury alongside fellow defensive back A.J. Bouye, who was added for a hip injury. Bouye, who Doug Marrone was doubtful about to begin with, was officially ruled out Saturday afternoon alongside receiver Marqise Lee, as both did not travel to Houston with the team. Starting defensive end Yannick Ngakoue was also ruled out on Friday.

Needless to say, if Harrison can’t go the Jags will be down two members in their starting secondary. Second-year corner Tre Herndon will likely play for Bouye, while special teams captain Cody Davis is listed as Harrison’s backup on the unofficial depth chart. The Jags also have undrafted rookie Andrew Wingard on the roster, so he can’t be ruled out as an option either.
