Jaelen Strong ready to do ‘whatever I can do to help Cleveland’

New Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jaelen Strong made his first appearance as a member of the team on Friday’s Cleveland Browns Daily radio show. The former Texans third-round pick is hopeful he can have a better, and healthier, reboot in Cleveland.

“Cleveland gave me the opportunity,” Strong said “I was just thankful that they accepted me with open arms and welcomed me to the team. It really wasn’t a choice. Soon as I got there, the love that they were showing and everything just made me feel welcome.”

After praising his new QB, Baker Mayfield, as well as fellow WR Jarvis Landry, Strong smartly stated it’s all about the team,

“I’m not really thinking about myself in this aspect right now. I’m thinking about whatever I can do to help Cleveland. They gave me the opportunity to come in and show them I can play and that’s exactly what I plan to do, is come in and focus on that and just giving Cleveland my all.”

Strong showed initial promise with the Texans before injuries and a one-game suspension really turned things south for the 6-4 wideout. He’s got a nice opportunity to prove himself and resuscitate his career in Cleveland.
