Jadon Sancho will have to push for Man Utd transfer as Borussia Dortmund eye replacements

Jadon Sancho will have to push to get himself a dream move to Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund are looking for potential replacements as they still believe United are likely to come back for the England star this summer.

But with the clubs still deadlocked over Sancho’s valuation, it could take the 20-year-old to make sure the transfer goes through by making it clear he wants to move to Old Trafford.

Dortmund ideally want £120m for Sancho, they have made it clear they will not take less than £100m but United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has insisted their spending will be greatly impacted by the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

United will still have money to spend but the belief is that transfer fees will be greatly affected and they may have to wait 12 months to get their top transfer target unless they can reach some some sort of compromise.

United are also sweating on a Champions League place next season which would make a huge difference to them both financially and also in being able to attract the top players.

Dortmund do sense already that Sancho is ready to move to this summer and there has been huge interest in him with Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid and even his former club Manchester City all linked.

But if he moves this summer then United remain in pole position for one of the most exciting young talents in Europe which would be another major addition to their squad.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seen Anthony Martial form a deadly partnership with Marcus Rashford while Mason Greenwood is also developing into a prolific Premier League forward.

The addition of another top international would be a huge boost for United who have been talking to Dortmund for months about a potential transfer.

Dortmund have already signed Birmingham midfielder Jude Bellingham from under United’s noses but relations remain very good between the clubs.

But it may now take Sancho to make it clear that he wants the move to happen to get it over the line this summer.
