Jadon Sancho transfer poker as Dortmund power play heaps pressure on Manchester United

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly offered a Jadon Sancho a wage rise to reject Manchester United.

The England star's future has quickly become the transfer story of the summer with the Bundesliga giants demanding around £100million for a sale.

It's been claimed United are reluctant to pay such a lofty price as negotiations continue.

German outlet Bild now report Dortmund have tabled fresh terms in their bid to keep the 20-year-old.

The situation has been described as a game of "transfer poker" with United insisting they will not be bullied into paying an asking price they believe is inflated.

But Dortmund 's latest move could give the Old Trafford club pause for thought over how badly they want to sign the former Manchester City youth.

The saga has garnered huge media attention and United will know fan will be left disappointed if the transfer does not materialise at this stage.

It's also believed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been pushing hard for the deal for some time, having quickly identified Sancho as his number one target after taking the job.
