Jadon Sancho transfer nightmare for Manchester United as Liverpool now 'favourites' to sign £110m superstar

Liverpool and Bayern Munich are now favourites to sign Jadon Sancho next summer after Manchester United's botched transfer pursuit - according to a report.

The 20-year-old remained with Borussia Dortmund after the Premier League giants failed to take seriously the August 10 cut-off to strike a deal for the £110m-rated star.

That has left Manchester United and their under-fire executive vice-chairman red-faced and facing the very real possibility that a deal for Sancho is now gone forever.

The Independent claim the England international wasn't overly fussed after a deal with United wasn't agreed before Monday's deadline.

And it's understood Premier League champions Liverpool and Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich are viewed as realistic destinations by those close to the player himself.

Euro big-spenders Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain had quiet windows as they continue to reassess amid the pandemic but they could also come into the mix.

Sancho has made no secret of his admiration for Jurgen Klopp and the feeling is mutual although the Liverpool boss admitted any move in 2020 was a non-starter.

Meanwhile, outspoken pundit Jamie O'Hara has rounded on the United squad and manager Ole Gunnar Soslkaer in the wake of Sunday's 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Tottenham.

He told talkSPORT: “Where are the leaders in that dressing room?

“Not one of the players are up for a fight. Not one of them will fight for that badge and not one of them are going to fight for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“And Solskjaer has a problem, because he is weak as well.

“I wouldn’t allow that at Conference South level, the lack of effort, let alone playing for Manchester United – the biggest club in the world.

“They are weak, the whole club is weak. It is Manchester United. Have some passion."
