Jadon Sancho to Manchester United: Sancho ‘believes’ United transfer will happen and Messi alternative

Transfer Window Podcast: Sancho believes United move will happen

Ian McGarry told the Transfer Window Podcast : “Our information is that Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are comfortable with the positions they're in with regards to selling Sancho.

“United don't expect Dortmund to agree the details of the payment structure that United have proposed, until potentially the end of the window.

“There's currently an impasse with conversations between the two clubs.

“United believe it'll happen, Sancho believes it'll happen, his representatives feel it'll happen, and whatever Dortmund say in public, they also believe they'll sell.”

Sport: Woodward makes Messi decision after Sancho pushback

United chief Ed Woodward has reportedly contacted Lionel Messi’s representatives after giving up on a move for Sancho this summer.

United are reported to have been put off by Dortmund’s £108million valuation of the England international and could instead turn to an audacious move for Barcelona’s main man.

Messi informed Barcelona on Tuesday that he wants to leave the Camp Nou and Spanish publication Sport claim that United have reached out to the 33-year-old’s entourage.

It is understood that Messi could activate a clause in his contract that would allow him a free move away from Barcelona this summer but it is not yet known if that clause has been agreed.

United fans flood Sancho with transfer messages

United supporters have urged Sancho to join the Old Trafford outfit in this transfer window.

Fans recently flooded the 20-year-old’s Instagram Live with messages of ‘come to Manchester’ which subsequently saw him finish the session early.

While there has been a limited amount of development with regards to a move, it is clear that plenty of United fans are hopeful of the winger joining before the end of the transfer window.

Despite United seemingly unwilling to meet Dortmund’s asking price of £108million, it is understood that Sancho remains the club’s top priority in the current transfer market.
