Jadon Sancho has started the season slowly for Manchester United, but history shows that's normal for the 21-year-old.
After talks between Old Trafford chiefs and Borussia Dortmund collapsed last summer, United finally put a much-anticipated end to the Sancho transfer saga when sealing a deal to bring the youngster back to Manchester in late July for £72.9 million.
Sancho scored 16 goals and made 20 assists for Dortmund last term and his arrival stirred great excitement among fans, however, the player that regularly hit lofty heights in Germany is arguably yet to deliver for United, albeit there have been glimpses of quality.
United's first landmark summer signing - Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo then followed - has played eight games for United this season, but Sancho is yet to register his first goal involvement or demonstrate his exceptional ability to beat a man to fans.

As revealed by Statman Dave, though, there are Sancho statistics available that will reassure United supporters.
That's because Sancho didn’t score his first Bundesliga goal for Dortmund last season until Matchday 14.
In his following 10 appearances, he was directly involved in 12 goals by scoring six goals and creating six assists.
Although not ideal, those stats show that perhaps Sancho is just a slow starter and, when considering he returned from holiday late and had to overcome illness, that will reassure United fans that the winger is destined to come good at Old Trafford.
