Jadon Sancho's 'stance' on making Borussia Dortmund return and Neymar claim in Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is reportedly 'desperate' to return to Borussia Dortmund 'sooner rather than later'.

Sancho, 23, scored the opening goal against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek and has appeared in all of United's last 12 matches across all competitions. The winger has completed the full 90 minutes in just two of those matches, though, with manager Erik ten Hag consistently substituting the player on and off during games.

German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung claims Sancho is in favour of returning to Dortmund during the summer transfer window at the end of this second season at Old Trafford.

The report adds that the United forward could potentially return to his former club on loan.

A potential replacement for Sancho could be Neymar, with The Sun claiming the Paris Saint-Germain player is the marquee name Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani would want to signal United's intentions in the transfer market should the Qatari's Nine Two Foundation complete a takeover of the club.

Making a move for the Brazil international is said to be one of the first things Sheikh Jassim plans to do should the banker become United's new owner in the coming weeks and months. He reportedly made an improved offer to acquire the club before Friday's deadline.

The dynamics of such a signing would be intriguing as Qatari interests own PSG, with Qatar Sports Investments, a subsidiary of the state's sovereign wealth fund, financing the Parisian club. QSI signed Neymar as a statement of intent in the summer of 2017 after triggering the €222 million release clause in the player's Barcelona contract.
