Jadon Sancho's Manchester United transfer deal broken down as crucial £15m addition 'simplified' to snare Borussia Dortmund star

Increasingly desperate Manchester United have made a £110m offer for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho - and the fascinating structure of the deal has been revealed in detail.

According to the Transfer Window podcast, the Old Trafford club have offered £95m to be paid in £19m tranches over five years.

An additional £15m will also be paid out based on the player's achievements in the famous red jersey.

While United have already agreed terms with the England international they have been discussing a fee with the Germans for a number of weeks.

Dortmund have been unhappy with the proposed structure of the deal, something Ed Woodward's club have looked to address by "simplifying" the £15m add-ons included.

Westfalenstadion chiefs, including sporting director Michael Zorc, have repeatedly said they will not sell the player as Monday's deadline approaches.

The winger missed Saturday's Bundesliga clash at home to Freiburg due to illness.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees Sancho as his number one target and a move would fit the club philosophy of going after the best young English stars.

The club have also looked at Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele as an alternative but the Catalans value the player at around £72m.

If the Frenchman was to move to Manchester, the Red Devils would prefer to strike a loan deal given his injury record and the huge figures involved in the deal.
