Jadon Sancho's 2012 tweet resurfaces - and it's caught the eye of Liverpool fans

Jadon Sancho is a Manchester United target and could complete a huge summer move to Old Trafford, commanding a transfer fee of around £100million.

Liverpool on the other hand haven't been linked with the Dortmund forward, but tweets from his old Twitter account have recently resurfaced and some Reds supporters have started reading between the lines.

The account features the regular sort of musings from a 13-year-old, but one tweet - sent to a current Liverpool player - has caught the eye of the Reds supporters.

Posted all the way back in 2012, the tweet was sent to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain while Sancho was cutting his teeth at Watford.

It read: "How do u (sic) become soo sickk I really wanna be like u cause I think ur a remodel to young kids like myself I play for Watford!""

On the surface it doesn't give too much away, but some Reds fans have brought attention to an old Oxlade-Chamberlain comment that bares a slight resemblance.

Back in 2017, Oxlade-Chamberlain had just won the FA Cup with Arsenal and was interviewed on BT Sport.

Robbie Fowler reveals the moment Liverpool proved their title credentials

He said: "Playing for a team like Arsenal, it ends up being more of a right-wing job.

"I get the ball from deeper and the plays into my hands more. At the end of the day, it's given me minutes and I.m not one to complain. But, the centre-mid role… I've always wanted to be Steven Gerrard, so I've still got a hope of that."

Less than a year later Oxlade-Chamberlain signed for Liverpool to fulfill his dream of becoming the next Gerrard, and some fans are suggesting Sancho could follow suit.

Replying to the tweet, one fan wrote: "You can join him in you want," while another added: "Work your magic Ox," and a third concluded: "Sign for Liverpool and you can see him first hand."
