Jadon Sancho returns to Borussia Dortmund training amid Manchester United transfer interest

Jadon Sancho returned to training with Borussia Dortmund on Monday amid serious interest from Manchester United.

The Dortmund and England winger was pictured by photographers practising with his teammates at their training ground on the outskirts of the city in western Germany. MEN Sport understands United remain confident of sealing a deal for the 20-year-old.

Dortmund have imposed a deadline for United to match their valuation of the player: August 10, which is two days before their first friendly fixture in Austria and the day of United’s Europa League quarter-final in Cologne.

It is expected that any completed transfer for Sancho will total at least £90million, or €100million up front, with Dortmund holding out for a significant fee.

Sancho appeared relaxed and in a buoyant mood with teammates, including new boy Jude Bellingham, though it could be that he has played for the German club for the final time.

If United are successful in their pursuit, Dortmund's 4-0 home defeat to Hoffenheim may prove to be his last appearance. He's made 78 league appearances in three seasons, scoring 30 goals.

He joined the Bundesliga giants in August 2017 after becoming frustrated that he was not getting first team opportunities at Manchester City.

Previously Sancho was with Watford after growing up in London. He could link up with England teammates Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw if he joined United.
