Jadon Sancho responds to Liverpool transfer rumours as Borussia Dortmund star tipped to sign

Jadon Sancho has responded to transfer rumours linking him with a return to England.

The Borussia Dortmund star has been linked with a host of Premier League sides including Liverpool and Manchester United.

Speaking in an interview with Viasport on Saturday, the winger was asked for his opinion on those rumours.

Sancho said: "I don’t really look at all them things. I just concentrate on my team and take it game by game.

"That’s the most important thing for me now."

Jan Aage Fjortoft, who conducted the post-match interview with the 19-year-old, also spoke to two journalists to gauge their transfer theories regarding the Sancho's future.

Fjortoft revealed: "I arrived an hour ago and spoke to two journalists and all we discussed was Sancho.

"Where will he end up next year? This very experienced journalist came up to me and said ‘Jan, people in and around the club say he will go to Manchester United’.

"Manchester United is very close to him, they are following him tight and they expect him to play at Manchester United next year."

Though another journalist who writes for a top German publication told Fjortoft the youngster "will go to Liverpool".

"I asked a journalist who follows [Sancho] closely from one of the biggest papers in Germany,” the former player added.

"I asked if he will go to Manchester United but he said ‘No, no, no, Sancho will go to Liverpool’.

"Manchester United is in for him as well and there are four or five big candidates as well but he thought that because of the friendship between [Jurgen] Klopp and this club they would prefer him to go to Liverpool.

"They said imagine if they had for or five candidates who all pay the same, they will let him go where they have the friends."

Sancho was in action for Dortmund on Saturday and scored the only goal of the match as the Bundesliga outfit ran out 1-0 winners against SC Freiburg.
