Premier League clubs across the country will have been put on alert following reports that Jadon Sancho will leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the current season.
The 19-year-old England international is widely regarded to be one of the best young talents within world football and the hunt for his signature is fierce.
Now, with Sky in Germany reporting he will leave the Bundesliga club this summer, the likelihood of a major scrap in the transfer market for the winger's services has increased significantly.
Chelsea have long been linked with interest in signing the former Manchester City youngster as part of a huge spending spree under Frank Lampard this summer.
That looks set to be kicked off with the arrival of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and bringing Sancho through the doors would give the Blues a significant push.
However, the latest odds from Betfair state that Chelsea are not the favourites in the hunt for Sancho, but are second favourites with Premier League leaders Liverpool third in the market.
Instead, it's Manchester United that are said to be leading the race for his signature, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich all given a chance.
