Jadon Sancho issues two-word reaction to Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United transfer

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has reacted on social media after it was confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo has sealed a sensational return to Old Trafford.

In a dramatic turn of events, United have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Juventus to re-sign the Portugal international, subject to him passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.

Ronaldo, after saying his goodbyes to his Juventus team-mates on Friday morning, appeared destined to join United's cross-city rivals, Manchester City — but United made their move and have now won the race for his signature.

The 36-year-old is set to join the club on a two-year deal after United, MEN Sport understands, agreed a fee worth €28million with Juventus.

The prospect of him returning to the club, understandably, has been met with a wave of excitement and attention, but not just from the supporters, with United winger Sancho, who looked set to be the club's statement signing of the summer following his arrival from Borussia Dortmund last month, reacting to the news.

Taking to Twitter, Sancho has uploaded just two words, posting: "SCARY HOURS!"

It is, therefore, clear that even Sancho has been caught by surprise by the day's developments, with United not even being linked with a move for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner earlier today.

However, Ronaldo is now on the cusp of sealing a sensational return to United, subject to the finishing touches being put to the deal.

United are now looking to organise Ronaldo's medical ahead of officially unveiling him as a Red for the second time in his rich and colourful career.
