Jadon Sancho told reporters he was "not allowed to speak" as he walked through the mixed zone as speculation mounts over his Borussia Dortmund future.
The England international had come off the bench to net a consolation goal for the Germans as they lost 3-1 at Barcelona in the Champions League , a result that leaves them third in Group F with one game to go.
After netting his side's only goal, the former Manchester City trainee would have been an obvious choice for reporters to interview after the game at the Camp Nou.
Instead, the teenager revealed the Bundesliga outfit had instructed him not to speak to the media following the game amid rumours he will leave Dortmund in January.
Sancho's revelation came after boss Lucien Favre explained he benched the winger for the trip to Spain owing to a lack of focus from the young Englishman.
"I explained to him [why he wasn't starting] before the game," the former Nice manager said in his postgame news conference.
"I told him it was a really difficult game here in Barcelona, and we needed players that were really focused and that went on to the pitch really focused."
Favre's comments and Dortmund's decision to ban Sancho from speaking to the press will only add to the speculation the teenager could be on the move in January.
The 19-year-old has had a fractured relationship with the German side since the summer which appeared to reach a head when he was replaced after just 36 minutes of a 4-0 loss a fierce rivals Bayern Munich earlier this month.
That experience is said to have left the England international feeling 'humiliated', and it doesn't look like his relationship with Favre will improve any time soon.
If Sancho does move on in January, he will have no shortage of suitors with Liverpool , Man City, Man Utd, Barcelona and Real Madrid all reportedly following developments.
